News: 12 weeks

The most dramatic development this week: Reflexes. Your baby's fingers will soon begin to open and close, his toes will curl, his eye muscles will clench, and his mouth will make sucking movements. In fact, if you prod your abdomen, your baby will squirm in response, although you won't be able to feel it. His intestines, which have grown so fast that they protrude into the umbilical cord, will start to move into his abdominal cavity about now, and his kidneys will begin excreting urine into his bladder. From crown to rump, your baby-to-be is just over two inches long (about the size of a lime) and weighs half an ounce.

3 months and counting...

Hi everyone.  Hope all is well :)

I am starting up a blog to document the pregnancy for those members of our family or friends who we do not get to talk to as much as we all wish we could!!!!!

Also, this will be the place I post updates and pictures of baby once he/she is born :)

My due date is November 10th.  Currently, I am 12 weeks pregnant!  Baby is about 2 1/2 inches and weighs .5 ounces.  Everything is looking great.  I am feeling pretty good (no complaints except for being exhausted).

My doctor told me that she will not be delivering babies after June this year, bummmer, so she referred me to another doctor at Woman's Hospital who I will see May 9th.  If all goes well, she will be my new OB doctor and I will deliver at Woman's Hospital in the Med Center.

I will post more details after that appointment :)

Love Ya!
